Our son started Prep this year and we love the school.
He has learnt an incredible amount in such a short time. The curriculum and facilities are second to none and I have to mention Mr Smith the Music teacher - what an amazing teacher and music program you run! The College events and assemblies are made extra special with the enthusiasm he puts in. All the teachers are incredible.
We have been overwhelmed with the dedication of the teachers and the way they inspire our boys to try everything and just be their best self. The individual care and nurturing is why we so enjoy being a part of the Christian College family.
CCG offers a broad range of subjects so students are able to try many electives before making their final choices in Year 12.
A friendly and nurturing environment along with a holistic approach to education.
Creative and outdoor subjects are given as much respect and attention as English, Maths and Science.
Quality camps and school trips are also offered to take children out of the classroom.
We chose Christian College as the school aims to support each individual and the teachers do an amazing job to help each student reach their potential. We liked the emphasis on nurturing the person to be a well rounded citizen, not just emphasising academic outcomes.
Also, all the musical opportunities he's been given and the support he receives from the passionate musical staff is just incredible! Thank you Christian College!
To the Music Staff,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU!
Your time, energy, experience and dedication is outstanding!
Personally, my son has grown and developed his music with grace and style due to your patience and encouragement with him. He has thoroughly enjoyed playing in the band and the comradery with other band members and teachers is the difference between CCG bands and other performing schools.
Our daughter has had lots to say about the recent 'Atlas project' which she is completing in class. Most of this project has to do with the 'process', rather than the 'product'. I am impressed to hear her verbalise her challenges and frustrations and how she is focusing on collaboration and having a growth mindset. It is a credit to the teachers and Christian College, in providing a framework for the kids to work within and getting them to understand that social and emotional learning is critical. My daughter has told me numerous times over the past weeks, "they are lessons in life, Mum!" She has learnt so much during this project, and I have been enjoying our robust conversations that we have been having as she speaks of her experiences.
Thank you for another fantastic term, our daughter absolutely loves being at school.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for last night’s MYTERN presentation and for the monumental investment that I believe this will prove to be!
Already we utilised our fridge magnet this morning with our 10-year-old daughter. After a very brief explanation, she could show with her car magnet that she was on the 'red road' of 'scared' this morning. It gave us the opportunity to question her and let her voice her concerns in a way that would not have been uncovered without last night’s learning.
Thank you again – finding Jane’s language is truly a blessing.
