General Excellence Scholarships 2014
Christian College Geelong is pleased to offer a number of General Excellence Scholarships for entry into the 2014 school year at Year 5 or Year 7 level at Christian College Middle School, Highton or Christian College, Bellarine Campus and at Year 10 at Christian College Senior Campus, Highton.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Scholarship selection will be based on excellence in some or all of the following areas:
- Academic record – including entrance examination results
- Leadership and community service
- Contribution to current school
- Sporting achievements and contributions to the Arts
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must demonstrate outstanding achievement across a range of areas. A high academic standard is also necessary.
Students currently holding an ongoing scholarship at another local school will not be considered.
These scholarships are not applicable to overseas full-fee paying students.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
The Scholarship allows for up to 50% remission of tuition fees for the tenure of enrolment, subject to an annual review regarding fulfilment of the conditions of acceptance.
A General Excellence Scholarship will be tenable until the student has completed Year 12 at Christian College, Geelong.
The scholarship does not cover the cost of application, books, uniform, the annual College Building Fund or any costs associated with elective studies, sporting activities, camps or tours.
MAKING AN APPLICATION
There are two stages in the Application Process
1. Application Form
Applicants should apply by downloading and completing the 2014 General Excellence Application Form. Return the completed Application Form to Reception at Middle School, Highton, 18 Burdekin Road, Highton. Alternatively, mail your completed application to Mrs Roselyn Smith, Christian College, Geelong, PO Box 146 BELMONT, VIC 3216
Please note applications close at 4.00 p.m Friday 8 February 2013.
Photocopied documentation substantiating levels of attainment and achievement must be attached to the Application Form, including a photocopy of the most recent school report (including interim reports) as well as Naplan test results.
A written character reference in support of the application should be attached for applicants who are not currently attending Christian College Geelong. Current students of the College are not required to submit this reference.
All parts of the application will be retained by Christian College and will not be returned to applicants, so please do not include originals.
Scholarship applicants will be invited to take a Scholarship Test at Christian College Middle School, 18 Burdekin Road, Highton on Saturday 16 February 2013 between 9.00am and 12 noon

A non-refundable administration fee of $135 is required as part of the online registration process.
