Year 10

Senior School Waurn Ponds

Year 10 at Senior School is a time of transition with students from the Highton and Bellarine campuses, as well as from other schools completing studies at our Senior School in Waurn Ponds. Students quickly focus on mastering their academic studies across a wide range of subjects including several VCE units of work.

In Year 10 students are encouraged to take greater responsibility for their own learning, to balance various commitments and to continue to express their faith journey through service. The Science and Engineering Challenge, debating teams, Deakin University Mathematics Challenge, robotics and solar car challenge have been other opportunities for exciting endeavour and achievement.

The Senior School Pathways program enables students to make specific elective choices throughout their  Senior years which complement their future vocational ambitions. An example of the Pathways elective suggestions for a career in Psychology and Human Behaviour is outlined here. (...more)

This year we are also pleased to introduce an Enhancement Program that will enrich and complement our existing Year 10 core and elective curriculum model. This Enhancement Program offers Year 10 students the opportunity to undertake a wider range of VCE studies in their Year 10 elective choices.
