Year 6

Highton and Bellarine

Year 6 students at Middle School, Highton have many opportunities to develop their academic skills and abilities in preparation for the demands of secondary studies.  Through a wide range of learning experiences, students are well prepared for the changes and transition into Year 7. Emphasis is given to being well organized, using the College Diary correctly, developing independence  and accepting responsibility.

Students have had the opportunity to participate in the World Vision Global Leadership Conference and many have excelled at various sporting events at State Level.  Many students perform in a variety of College Music  ensembles, participate in photography competitions and many other activities, encompassing a a wide range of interests and challenges. Chess Club has proved popular and the ‘Spellathon’ and ‘Skipathon’ are also well supported at lunchtimes.

 Year 6 provides a dynamic and varied programme supported by dedicated and enthusiastic staff.
