To the Music Staff,
I just wanted to say THANK YOU!
Your time, energy, experience and dedication is outstanding!
Personally, my son has grown and developed his music with grace and style due to your patience and encouragement with him. He has thoroughly enjoyed playing in the band and the comradery with other band members and teachers is the difference between CCG bands and other performing schools.

Our daughter has had lots to say about the recent 'Atlas project' which she is completing in class. Most of this project has to do with the 'process', rather than the 'product'. I am impressed to hear her verbalise her challenges and frustrations and how she is focusing on collaboration and having a growth mindset. It is a credit to the teachers and Christian College, in providing a framework for the kids to work within and getting them to understand that social and emotional learning is critical. My daughter has told me numerous times over the past weeks, "they are lessons in life, Mum!" She has learnt so much during this project, and I have been enjoying our robust conversations that we have been having as she speaks of her experiences.
Thank you for another fantastic term, our daughter absolutely loves being at school.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for last night’s MYTERN presentation and for the monumental investment that I believe this will prove to be!
Already we utilised our fridge magnet this morning with our 10-year-old daughter. After a very brief explanation, she could show with her car magnet that she was on the 'red road' of 'scared' this morning. It gave us the opportunity to question her and let her voice her concerns in a way that would not have been uncovered without last night’s learning.
Thank you again – finding Jane’s language is truly a blessing.
I just wanted to once again say thank you for the incredible opportunities and experiences Christian College has given me since I came in Year 6 to the Bellarine Campus in 2009.
Since my arrival, I have been shown love, care, consideration, compassion and honesty by fellow students and staff alike. Whilst I was sick quite seriously in Year 6 which left me in the hospital for almost two months, the caring attitudes demonstrated by the Year 6 teachers at the time, along with class mates I had met only weeks before, I think proves the difference between Christian College and other schools. On several occasions teachers personally took time off from their busy schedule to visit me in hospital; a gesture totally unexpected and humbling, especially for a new student to the school.
I was also lucky enough to visit the farm in Year 9, and was able to represent the College as Bellarine Year 9 Prefect; a privilege I still cherish today. The friendships I have made at Bellarine, as well as the many more friendships I created at Senior School, I believe, is a testament to the teachers.
Whilst at Senior School, I was blessed to be given the opportunity to represent the College on an international scale, spending 5 months as an exchange student at Naga High School, in Wakayama, Japan. The things I learnt and was able to experience in Japan was second to none, and will undoubtedly stay with me for many years to come. Not only this, I also went on the Music tour to China and Hong Kong in 2014. Given the chance to travel to another country as a school group is rare in itself, but the memories from that trip were incredible and will not be forgotten.
Whilst these trips and opportunities to travel have been brilliant and greatly appreciated, it is easy to forget the actual things I have learnt in the classroom. The teachers who have taught me right through my Christian College journey have been exceptional, and I owe the ATAR I get at the end of the year to their determination, persistence and continual support for me and my peers throughout this year.
For many, school can become tiring and a struggle, but at Christian College, despite the occasional adversities, it has been an honour, privilege and ultimately, a joy to drive through those gates every morning, knowing that I am being given an opportunity that millions worldwide can only dream of; an opportunity I intend on using to its full potential.
Once again, I want to thank you, the teachers at Christian College and my fellow students, for an experience and chapter of my life that will treasured all my life.
Graduating Year 12 Student
I just wanted to let you know how much I have valued and appreciated the education Christian College has provided our daughter with. My husband and I are very glad that we made the decision to send her to Christian College. Christian College has not just provided our daughter with knowledge in the subjects she has been taught, but also provided her with so many opportunities to grow as a person – to become socially active in her own school community and wider community – to experience other cultures – to learn how to get along with groups of people without having her parents around to guide her – to learn what it means to make a commitment, to stick to that commitment and enjoy the great benefits that commitment brings. None of this would have happened without the support and care of all of the staff that our daughter has been involved with. The staff at Christian College have helped show her the true value of a Christian community and the path she can lead if Christ is placed first in her life. Thank you for helping to teach our daughter that.

I thought you might like to know how much your students take in as my child told me recently that 'excessive praise leads to over confidence'. I said 'how do you know that?' He replied 'the school told me'.
The level of emotional intelligence that this generation will have is great, and for me, reinforces my decision of sending him to Christian College. The personal development provided by the school and the school culture is outstanding, and all of this is not measurable by NAPLAN or in the 'public versus private' debates, which raise their heads within the media.

The family and I went out with friends to try the Back Creek Farm Café today. Well were we impressed! I don’t know who came up with the idea but we think it is magnificent. What a great experience, we were lucky enough to have a look around so the girls got to see where they will go in a couple of years. The food was terrific, you could see what a fantastic learning experience it is. We give it a great big thumbs up. We have family in Creswick so we will be recommending that this is the place for the mid trip stop on the way!! Impressed with the décor, the menu and the muffins looked terrific. My gluten free dietry needs were catered for and we were made very welcome as a Christian College family.
Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!!!!
A huge thank you to you and all the team who worked so hard with the students for their wonderful performance at Port's Biggest Afternoon Tea yesterday. I received plenty of good feedback from so many who attended. They really appreciated hearing those young students perform at such a good standard. We hope they enjoyed the experience performing as much as we did listening to them. As David Hughes said when saying thank you, it's a great experience for them to be able to perform in front of a large attentive crowd. With such goals, it gives them incentive and encourages them to aim for perfection. You should be very proud of the students at Christian College. I would also like to compliment them on their exemplary behaviour. Lovely to see.
By all accounts, the trip to Alcoota sounded like a fabulous trip. Our son has been very communicative about the whole journey and we can see he gained a huge understanding of life in the community. He has known for a while that he would like to be a teacher and this trip has confirmed that he wants to pursue teaching as a career.
A very big thank you to you and the other staff involved for all your hard work in organising the trip and bringing them home safely.
My only feedback would be, "could parents come too!!!" - I feel like I’ve missed out on an amazing experience. Great program run by a great a school!

We have been very happy with the school and think it provides a well rounded education. Not as obsessively academic as some others but not neglectful of this either. It strikes a good balance between achievement and teaching good values and our daughter's peer group seems remarkably rancour-free for a teenage cohort.
Well done and keep up the good work, it is not easy satisfying all the competing demands of modern education.

Our twins have just started in Prep at Christian College and we couldn't be happier. When we met with the Principal last year, he told us that 'We take families, not individuals' and that message really struck a chord for us.
We love the pastoral care services and the College focus on the well-being and happiness of our children. Our family feels so welcome here at Christian College.
Christian College was the right choice for our children. We love the College ethos and have met a lot of past students who also loved their time there, and have gone on to be quite successful in the careers that they chose.

Yesterday I had a group activity at Camp Wilkin that Alcoa run in partnership with BacLinks.
What a lovely surprise it was for me when I realised Christian College were there for their music camp.
It was wonderful to hear the lovely music and see the excited children all working together because they share a common interest. The voices, strings, woodwind, percussion and brass sounded out over the camp grounds.
The happiness and joy seen on the faces of your students and staff and heard through the music they were creating made the volunteer event all the more enjoyable and I was so proud to say that my daughter goes to Christian College. The students were well mannered, well behaved and spoke beautifully when engaging with myself and my team.
Since starting at Christian College, our daughter has turned a complete 360 in everything. She is happy, loves school and is living life to the fullest. She is embracing the caring wonderful staff that you have at Christian College. From the principal, teachers, office staff down to the bus driver, everyone has made her feel so welcome. She really loves going to school. If she is struggling in a subject every teacher goes out of their way to help her. She embraces every challenge thrown at her because she knows that she will get the support the she needs.
I wanted you to know how grateful we are to EVERYONE at Christian College.
It truly is an amazing School. We are all very very happy here.

I thank you all for allowing me to be part of the Year 3 camp in Portsea, it was an uplifting experience which I am fortunate to have had and will remember forever.
Individually and collectively, you are an outstanding group of young people. The cooperation with, care for and respect of, each other is at a level way beyond your years and is a glowing reflection of yourselves and your teachers.

Last week I had the privilege of meeting two of your teachers and a group of your students at Titjikala in the Northern Territory.
I have been facilitating youth projects in the Northern Territory since 2004 and was impressed by your teachers knowledge of the area and willingness to challenge students to develop their cultural literacy. In Cassidy and Celeste you have first class educators.
The character of your students, as I had the privilege of speaking with many of them and witnessing their interactions with local community members, impressed me greatly. I encountered a group of students with deep compassion and a willingness to put themselves beyond their comfort zones to learn.
From my experience, you and your staff have a lot to be proud of.

What a fabulous show the Wizard of Oz Production was and what a great job you and all the other teachers involved did. As I mentioned my Mum, brother and his wife travelled down from Melbourne to see the show on Friday night and they were blown away at how professional the whole show was and the amazing talent of the cast and orchestra members. We had to keep reminding ourselves that they are primary and secondary students. I particularly noted how well they all stayed in character, even when the spotlight was not on them, and how good their facial expressions, etc were and I put that down to the excellent preparation, coaching and direction you provide.
I can only imagine how many hundreds (or thousands) of hours you and other staff members must have put in to make it such a wonderful success and I congratulate you all on your wonderful work.

My partner and I had the pleasure of attending last night's Information Evening for Parents of Year 5, 6 & 7. We would like to sincerely thank you for this new initiative. We both found the evening extremely informative and very professionally put together. It was great to hear from the variety of speakers and each contributed information that we found extremely helpful. It is great for us to be able to hear about what is not only happening presently, but also to be able to look forward to what our girls will be involved in next year.
A great night! We both said that "these nights are not to be missed". We thank all the staff and the year 9 students for their involvement, we know this is an extra commitment, truly appreciated.

I would like to praise your staff involved in the Wizard of Oz Production, the high standard of the rehearsals and the encouragement given from the older students to the younger ones is beyond measure.
Year 5 Bellarine Parent
We would sincerely like to thank all of the staff at Christian College during our daughters transition to the Bellarine Campus this year. It was a difficult decision for her to make as she was initially very reluctant however; even before we all had made the decision the support and guidance we received from the staff made the path clear and enabled her to eventually make the decision herself. We have nothing but praise for the way Christian College has welcomed us into its family.

Christian College was the right choice for our children. We love the family orientated environment and discipline that is instilled in the students.
We have been with Christian College since Williams House Kinder and we couldn't be happier. The support that the school has shown us through hard times has been wonderful. Their high Christian values are commendable and all the dealings with staff and teachers has been a positive experience.
Your students who recently attended at our Caravan Park in South Australia, are to be congratulated on their respectful manner to other park patrons. Also the seven Cabins occupied by the students were left in a very clean and tidy state, as was our Camp Kitchen area. All in attendance were well mannered, an absolute credit to Robert Moore (the tour coordinator) and an excellent advertisement for the Geelong Christian College.

What a beautiful occasion the College Debutante Ball was for my daughter and another 27 pairs on Friday night. It was absolutely wonderful!
You and your band of helpers should be congratulated on putting an event together of that calibre. The hall looked beautiful and was decorated with such class; there was abundance of food and such a great atmosphere.
My daughter had the best day and night of her life and owe this to you and your team! She loved every minute of the actual dance lessons to the night itself. Christian College is one of the only schools I know that hold this type of event. It is such a worth while occasion in a girls life to have the opportunity to participate in, especially with another large group of peers in the same year level.

Just a short note to thank you for allowing our son to be part of the ‘Our World’ trip to Alcoota. He has not stopped talking about the great time that he had; how well everyone got along and most of all, how amazing the experience was. His highlight, apart from working with the aboriginal children and being part of their community, was seeing Uluru in the wet – truly something that he will never forget!
