The Japanese Activity Day which took place in the Junior School at the Bellarine Campus on September 21st was a celebration of our students’ great achievement in Japanese.
The students enjoyed exploring Japanese culture through various fun activities, and built on their intercultural awareness and knowledge. The activities included cooking, dressing up in kimono costumes, making bookmarks with calligraphy, origami, creating PowerPoint presentations using Japanese fonts and many more.
The highlight of the day was the incursion of the Kendo demonstration. The students were impressed with the dynamic demonstration of the Japanese martial art, with some students and teachers taking the opportunity to try it out for themselves. It was a fun day for the whole Junior School Bellarine community.
