Christian College Institute of Teaching & Learning (CCITL) held its Official Opening and Foundation Day Service recently to celebrate the commencement of this new tertiary institution in Geelong.
Following years of preparations, negotiations and submissions to various accreditation bodies, this year, marked the official commencement of CCITL with 14 students completing the Bachelor of Education (Primary) degree and 5 students undertaking the Master of Teaching (Primary) program.
Invited guests to the service included Andrew Katos, Andy Richards, Peter Murrihy and Robert Costa, Christian College board members and staff as well as families of the Foundation staff and students.
Following the service, the students and lecturers spent the day bonding with different Orientation activities. These included lunch at the Back Creek Café, milking, chicken races, sheep herding and an egg throw- all at the Back Creek Farm.
The day was a huge success and momentous occasion for Christian College.
