House Cross Country Carnival
Held at the Drysdale Recreation reserve the Years 3 to 9 House Cross Country was run on Friday April 19.
We acknowledge the performances of all competing students and congratulate the students of Taylor House, who won the Years 3 to 6 and Years 7 to 9 events.

Deakin District Cross Country
The top ten students aged 10, 11, and 12 from the House Cross Country competed at the Deakin District Cross Country on Thursday May 2.
The top five students at this event progress through to the North Geelong Division Cross Country.
Congratulations to; Cooper Geall, Camden Harding, Michael Case, Samuel Anderson, Tyler Costin, Stephanie Ferry, Jessica McCarthy, Olivia Richardson, Jessie Allen, Alyssa Jones, Lucy Moate and Michellie Costin on their progression.
GISSA Cross Country
The Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association Cross Country was held at a new course at the Christian College Senior Campus. On a cold and wintry day, the Christian College squad, led by Holly Curtis and Andrew Fitzgerald were dominant, retaining the trophy for the 8th consecutive year.
Congratulations to the following students who placed top three in their event; Georgia Quick, Jessie Rowsthorn, Matthew Tattersal, Blade Butler, Montana Jones, Sarah Arstall, Declan Hargreaves, Nicholas James, Timothy Brejcha, Katelyn Groeger and Millie Holding.
Victorian All Schools Cross Country Relay Championships
On Saturday May 4th, two Christian College Cross Country teams competed at the Victorian Schools Cross Country Relay Championships. The team of Montana Jones, Georgia Quick, Louise McCarthy and Alyssa Jones placed 4th in the U16 Girls event, 4 seconds behind 3rd over the 4 x 3km course. In the U18 Boys event Simon Harrington, Liam Anderson, Darcy Fahroedin and David McPhee placed a creditable 11th of the 37 teams that competed.
Rip Curl Shield Teams Surfing Championships
The Christian College Surfing team placed a close second in the Rip Curl Shield Teams Surfing Championships. The team of Jesse Robinson, Tristan Forras, Darcy Day, Zoe Clarke, Tully Wiley, Micky Robinson, Jordy Gibson, Nick Vanner, Grace Day and India Robinson are to be congratulated on their efforts.
Victorian Schools Surfing Titles
Christian College students were successful at the Victorian Schools Surfing Championships. Tristan Forras won the U19 Boys title, Zoe Clarke won the U19 Girls title, India Robinson won the U16 Girls title and Micky Robinson placed 3rd in the U16 Boys event. Congratulations to all surfers on these excellent achievements.
Basketball Victoria Schools 3 on 3 Competition
Christian College entered 6 teams in the Basketball Victoria Schools 3 on 3 Competition. The Years 9 and 10 Boys team played very well finishing 4th overall.
Senior Girls Football
The Senior and Junior girls Football team competed at the Geelong Independent Schools Sports Association Football Carnival on Friday May 3 and May 7 respectively. Winning two of their four games, both teams were competitive and played the game with some flair. Best on the field players were Emily Ramsay (Senior) and Danielle De Francesco (Junior).
Years 5 and 6 Deakin District Winter Sports Carnival
The Year 5 and 6 students enjoyed an afternoon of Winter Sport - Football, Soccer, Netball, T Ball and Volleyball on Thursday April 18. This day prepares all teams to fully understand the rules and expectations for their weekly Winter Sport matches during Term 2.
