On a brisk weekend last term, four intrepid senior school students from Christian College packed their bags and headed into the Victorian mountains of Marysville to compete in an outdoor team competition- the Hillary Challenge. This challenge aims at developing leadership, environmental stewardship, resilience, creativity and the ability to work together.
As this was the first time Christian College has competed, the team members did not know what to expect. During the course of the weekend, the team competed in running and cycling events, water purification and catchment, rogaining and paddling.
Considering the stiff competition from other schools, Christian College students fared well, had a great time, met new friends from other schools and are ready and raring to do it all again next year!
