At Bellarine this morning we had a ‘buzz’ observing the Solar Eclipse from beautiful sunny Drysdale. The free viewing goggles that were received Science teacher Ms Singleton made the experience very clear and safe.
All the bus students filed past and had a look, and I think most of the students and staff took part.
Comments such as: ‘wow’, ‘awesome’, ‘that is amazing’, ‘how cool’, ‘when will we see this again’ started the school day with enthusiasm.
Lots of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ as well as hushed amazement as they took in that they were actually seeing the full moon passing in front of the sun. And we got to put the Solar Scope (from Transit of Venus time back in June) into action again.
Hopefully students will remember this for a very long time.
