Year 7 students from the Bellarine and the Middle School campus have been exploring the idea of prejudice in our world through the Christian Education curriculum.
As part of this program, the students took part in ‘Prejudice Day’ held at the Bellarine Campus. This day involves each of the nine homerooms expressing their collaborative ideas on this topic through a class presentation.
Each year the teachers are astounded at the depth of thought, creativity and Godly perspective each homeroom presents. Guest judges, Deputy Head of Middle School- Heather Faulkner and Pastor Greg Illingworth, gave feedback on each presentation. Pastor Greg was also the guest speaker for the day.
Other highlights included a BBQ lunch and a games afternoon designed to foster relationships across campuses. It was a fun, valuable and meaningful learning experience for the students and has certainly become a popular feature in the Year 7 calendar.
