The State-wide Japanese Speech Contest was held in Melbourne recently. 12 students from Christian College participated and demonstrated their impressive language skills, not to mention their extraordinary courage to present their speeches in Japanese in front of a large audience.

Prep to Year 2 Group Category:
Abby Bowyer, Oliver Brooke, Alex Cormack and Caitlin Deretic (Junior School, Bellarine)
Year 3 and 4 Group Category:
Scarlett Kerr and Lin Nakayaka (Junior School, Belmont)
Year 5 and 6 Individual Category:
Lachlan Pfaender (MS Bellarine)
Year 5 and 6 Pair Category:
Neve Foster and Lauren Schwab (Middle School, Highton)
Year 7 and 8 Individual Category:
Nell Glover (Middle School, Highton)
Year 7 and 8 Pair Category:
Nicholas Hinks and Sarah Jones (MS Bellarine)
All students from Prep to Year 4, received participation certificates.
Year 5 student, Lachlan Pfaender won 3rd Prize and Nicholas Hinks and Sarah Jones as a pair won the award of High Commendation in their categories.
All the participants deserve high praises for their remarkable efforts and outstanding achievements.
