Towards the end of last term, the Year 9 Media Arts Elective students from the Middle and Bellarine Campus took part in a presentation to expand their understanding about movie making and the production process.
The General Manager of 'Campfire Film Foundation’ undertook the presentation in the Bellarine Auditorium and informed and inspired the students, focusing on 3 main points in Media Production:
1. Media- The Most dynamic profession of the 21st century. Media/ film making as a career.
2. Audience is King. Based on a presentation to international documentary filmmakers at the Australian International Documentary Conference.
3. Going deeper with Christianity. Where does faith and spirituality fit into all this? What can films do or not do to help us enliven the spiritual dimension of life and learn more about ourselves and others in the world around us?
The clarity of the presentation sparked our students enthusiasm into the world of Media Production and the possibilities that can come from being involved.
