As part of the Year 2 curriculum, students from Bellarine recently studied fractions for Mathematics and learnt about procedural writing in Literacy.
To enhance the learning experience, the Year 2 students created their own pizza recipes and had the opportunity to cook them.
The students brought their own toppings from home to ensure that the ingredients were to their liking and these were placed on specially prepared bases.
The Bellarine Food and Technology room was the setting for the junior master chefs and they all thoroughly enjoyed putting their pizzas together. While the pizzas were cooking, the students worked through the steps involved in preparing their pizza.
Eventually the pizzas were cooked and everyone sat down for a scrumptious lunch.
The next day, the students wrote their special recipes down and combined them in the Year 2 Pizza cookbook.
