A travelling suitcase filled with Moroccan textiles called ‘Amina’ delighted Middle and Senior School Textiles students recently. The suitcase which has been sent from the Australian Textile Arts and Surface Design Association Inc. was filled with an amazing array of creative textile articles that students viewed and used as inspiration in class.
The various wall hangings, fabric tiles, 3D articles and hand-embroidered pieces were all created with the common Marrakesh/ Moroccan theme.
The suitcase started its journey in March in New South Wales and continued into the Northern Territory and Queensland. It will keep travelling around Australia visiting other educations and art galleries.
