Christian College students were recently involved in the WW1 Commemoration Service at Fort Queenscliff.
Hundreds of people attended the service acknowledging Queenscliff’s place in firing the Empire’s first shot in World War 1.
Director of Australian Defence Intelligence Major General Paul Symon lead the formalities which marked the 100th anniversary of the issuing of an order from Queenscliff to fire across the bow of the German merchant ship ‘Pfalz’ to prevent it from leaving Port Philip Bay.
Bellarine Campus Captain, Denae Vagg and Year 9 Prefect, Anthony Connally laid a wreath and the Middle School, Highton Choir sung a number of songs during the service.
