Senior School House Music
The measure of a community of learning can be observed in the little things that we can take for granted. As I sat in the audience at Costa Hall last Friday for the annual House Music competition, I could only feel great joy at what was taking place.
As each of the House Choirs, ensembles and soloists performed it was the unity, confidence and excellence that shone through. This event showcases the incredible musical talent of our Senior students as well as outstanding student leadership and House spirit.
I believe that senior students play a vital role in setting the tone within a school community. The Senior School House Music competition last week clearly demonstrated commitment, collaboration and excellence to everyone in the audience. Especially to the younger students from our Middle Schools who will have their turn at performing and leading House Music in the years to come.
Congratulations to all of the Senior School students for performing for their respective Houses and to Flynn House for taking out this year's D D Davey Trophy. More importantly for adding to the culture and tone of our
College in such a positive way.
