The Christian College approach to Sport is in line with the College belief that education is concerned with the whole human being, and that every pupil has the capacity to achieve, or even to excel, in some field.
We aim to develop not only students’ sporting knowledge and skills, but an understanding of the benefits of life-long physical activity. This is achieved through a whole-school approach that incorporates educating within the curriculum and providing experiences during intra- and inter-school sport, in addition to other sporting opportunities.
The College program has been developed to complement community ‘Club Sport’. We believe that involvement within the local community is an integral part of a child’s growth and development. Therefore, we actively encourage students to play Club Sport and we have designed our College program to ensure there is minimal impact on students’ involvement with their club.
