Year 12 Music Investigation and U3A

On Monday morning the Year 12 Music Investigation class performed excerpts of their final performance program for about twenty University of the Third Age students from Geelong. The U3A provides further education to people who no longer work full time or are retired. This concert gave the U3A students the opportunity to depart from their usual diet of recorded music and listen to live musicians! The Christian College students introduced the music they were performing in the context of their studies and gave a moving and intellectually stimulating concert. The applause was loud and the concert provided the Christian College students with the rich opportunity to perform for an audience who were listening to the music for its own sake as opposed to performing for a panel who are assessing and criticising the performer.
