Year 8 Social Issues Unit

As part of the Year 8 Christian Education Social Issues unit this semester, all Year 8 students were challenged to make a difference in their homes or in the community. It was amazing to see so many Year 8 students get out there and make a difference in the lives of others. We had students visit the elderly in nursing homes, clean up areas of the environment, participate in the 40 Hour famine, donate to Geelong Animal Welfare, participate in random acts of kindness, make boxes to send to other countries for Operation Christmas Child and raise money for Offspring in amongst many other ventures.

I am so proud of the Year 8's for getting out there and making a difference in the community. The Year 8’s have shown that they are growing into empathetic, generous and kind young people that are dedicated to serving others.
