Year 1 & 2 Drysdale Walk Excursion

On Monday 10th October, Year 1 and 2 classes went on a walk around Drysdale, as part of our Integrated Studies topic ‘Our Local Community’. We looked at how Drysdale has changed since it was first settled, by observing original landmarks of the town and seeing how newer versions have been built as the needs of the town have changed.

A highlight was a visit to the Drysdale Uniting Church, where we were able to look inside at the beautiful leadlight windows and discuss how important the church was in the early days of settlement. Overall, this was a great insight into how people lived long ago in Drysdale.
