Victorian Track and Field State Finals

The College acknowledges the performances of the eleven Year 4 - 6 students from the Highton and Bellarine Campuses, who qualified for the School Sport Victoria Track & Field State Finals. To reach the finals the students placed first or second at District, Division and Regional rounds. We congratulate the Girls 12/13 4 x 100m team; Luka Mathe, Jorja Kirsopp Cole, Molly Sellar and Nyah Brown on winning the State Final! Nyah Brown had a great day winning a bronze medal in both the 100m and 200m events. Patrick Aquilina won bronze in the 100 metres. Molly Seller (200m), Bethany Dean (1500m) and Joshua Payne (High Jump) just missed the medals placing 4th. Harris Gee, Joshua Payne, Luka Mathe (Hurdles), Patrick Aquilina (200m) and Ryan Costin, Josh Cowley, Kade Leigh, Patrick Aquilina (4 x 100m Relay) all progressed through the Semi Finals to reach the Finals. Amelia Cunningham threw well to place 9th in the Shot Put. All students represented the College with distinction with many personal best performances recorded.
