Pink Project Care Day

The Christian College Bellarine community came together today, Friday 4th November, to support and raise funds for the very worthy cause, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in Australia. In 2012, 15,050 women and 116 men were diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately, it seems to have touched everyone’s life in one form or another, either directly or through the experience of family and friends. The money we have raised will help the Cancer Council fight cancer through prevention programs, support services and world-class research.

The college looked a sea of pink as both students and teachers arrived donning pink wigs, pink tutus, pink hair dye and so much more. It was a day of activities and fun including basketball shootouts and the infamous ‘Teacher Vs Student’ basketball match that was played in front of a crowd of spectators filling the stadium.

Thank you to our Project Care Representatives, student body and college families for your support and generosity on this special day. It is overwhelming to see the servant hearts and willingness of everyone to give and play a part in making this world a better place.
