Year 12 Graduation
This weekend is the Year 12 Graduation Service followed by dinner at The Pier. This is a special occasion for all our VCE and VCAL students who have worked so hard over the past year.
The VCE examinations have now concluded and the students can now relax until the results come out on Monday 12th December. The VCAL students have fully engaged with their employers and I hear many good stories of their efforts in their trades and traineeships.
Graduation is the occasion when students enter as graduands, cross the stage to be presented with their Graduation Certificate and then become graduates of Christian College. It is a solemn occasion and marks the end of their secondary education. This is held at Costa Hall and commences at 2.00pm with all members of our community being welcome.
Year 11 Final Service
The Year 11 Final Service was held on Monday and it was an occasion for the students to lead the service and announcements. The theme was “dare to be different” and students gave excellent examples of how this may look.
I wish to thank all Year 11 students for their efforts throughout the year and feel very confident they will lead our College well in 2017. I also wish to thank the Year 11 Co-ordinators in Ms Mandy Calderwood and Ms Georgia Barber for their leadership this year. Being a year level co-ordinator is a time-consuming and difficult role and they both do it very well. We are blessed to have them.
Year 11 Examinations
These examinations have commenced and they are presented in the same manner as the Year 12 VCE exams. We feel that it is important for students to get used to such conditions. We wish all students the best for these assessments.
