Japanese Calligraphy Competition

The State-Wide Japanese Calligraphy Competition

The annual State-Wide Japanese Calligraphy Competition was held this term by the Japanese Language Teachers Association of Victoria (JLTAV). Both brush and pencil calligraphy require unique expressive skills of which our students had an opportunity to learn in class. From our campus, Caitlin Deretic and Hayley Koopman (Year 4), Jessie Allen, Jayde Halson and Charlotte Hunter (Year 8) were selected to enter their pencil calligraphy work.  Among them, Hayley Koopman won the second prize in the Year 3/4 category for her outstanding work. Congratulations on her terrific achievement.
