Year 12 Students - UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Science Admissions Test)

Are you in Year 12 this year and thinking of studying Medicine, Dentistry or Health Science next year?

UMAT is developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) on behalf of the UMAT Consortium universities. The test is used specifically to assist with the selection of students into the Medicine, Dentistry and Health Science degree programs at undergraduate level at the universities listed on this website.

UMAT scores can be used for admission to any of the UMAT Consortium universities ONLY in the year following the test. For example, results from UMAT 2017 can be used for undergraduate Medicine or Health Science courses beginning in 2018, but NOT 2019.

Do not register for UMAT 2017 unless you are planning to apply for a course commencing in 2018 and you meet the eligibility criteria specified in the UMAT 2017 Information Booklet.

The test is taking place on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 but you MUST register by 5pm on June 2.

There are workshops available, at a cost, to help you get the best results possible for the UMAT. (For more information on these workshops, please go to: http://www.nie.edu.au/umat-courses/umat-workshops)

For more information on the UMAT go to:

Or speak to Mrs Bromilow in the Careers Office (in the Library foyer).
