'Bravehearts'

‘Bravehearts’ is Australia’s leading child protection advocate. They deliver presentations to children around Australia to assist in the protection of children from abuse. Braveheart’s vision is to make Australia the safest place in the world to raise a child through the three tiers to prevention – Educate, Empower, Protect. They will present a 35 minute interactive non-confronting and engaging information session, featuring Ditto, a life sized lion puppet. The Year Prep and 1 students will be taught about important aspects of personal safety which will encourage and equip children to speak out if they find themselves in an unsafe situation. The program is presented by an experienced facilitator who guides the children through a power-point presentation and songs complete with actions. Follow up resources will be provided to each Home Room Teacher.

‘Bravehearts’ will present To the Prep and Year 1 students in our Junior School Chapel next Thursday, 11th August at 9:30 am. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Please click here to view the ‘Bravehearts’ information sheet which provides a more detailed explanation of the organization and the content of the session with the students.
