The Great Book Swap Day

This year we are again supporting the Indigenous Literacy Foundation through our Great Book Swap.  ILF aims to help raise funds to raise literacy levels and improve the lives and opportunities of Indigenous Australians living in remote and isolated regions. Our support helps to raise funds to buy books and literacy resources for children in these communities.  On Wednesday 7th September, Indigenous Literacy Day, we are supporting the Foundation through the Great Book Swap.  We ask that the students bring along one of their favourite books (that they are happy to part with) and for a gold coin donation they can swap it for someone else's favourite book. All the money raised is donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

How does it work?

1. Choose one of your favourite books to place in the swap. Students in Years 3 & 4 can fill out a book- plate telling the new owner why they really like the book they donated.

2. Please bring the book in advance (by Tuesday, 6th September) of our Book Swap day on 7th September. There will be a special box in your classroom for the books.

3. On 7th September the books will be grouped appropriately and students will be able to donate their gold coin and take home another book they have selected.
