Science Week at Bellarine
Last Thursday, in brilliant weather, the science classroom was outside. Students planted 151 trees around the Bellarine property. Year 9 boys led younger students "big brother" style, in sharing the task of planting young trees donated by Blood Toyota and supplied by the local Landcare Nursery. Bunnings donated the stakes for the tree guards. Hugs were evidence of the close-knit community of Bellarine after the activity was over. Year 7 and 8 students also engaged in the practical hands-on task. All students were proud of their individual and collective efforts at the end of the day. The treeplanting last week continued the legacy of 10 years of planting at Bellarine.
