Medieval Day - Year 8

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

On Tuesday 6th September saw the Year 8 students transformed into people from a village in medieval Europe. Dressed in their finery or rags, depending on your status in society, the students partook in a series of workshops about dance and music, costume and lifestyle, arms and armour, early medieval warfare, games and art. A major highlight of the day was the medieval feast held in the banquet hall decorated with ivy, illuminated letters and banners. The atmosphere was set with candles, dancing from the girls of each class and a drama performance. These proceeding were overseen by King Moore and Pope Crole. Overall, a very enjoyable day for students and staff with deep learning about a time long ago.
