Year 5 2017 - Orientation Day Success!

We celebrated a very successful Orientation day on Tuesday, welcoming the Junior School Year 4 students and families into our Middle School Highton community! There was plenty of anticipation and excitement towards the new experiences, challenges and friendships that lie ahead for 2017... students and parents alike!

I encouraged the students to consider their 'Opportunities' and their 'Perspective' as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey. The next 5 years will prove to be a significant time of growth; physically, emotionally, socially, academically and spiritually as they journey through adolescence. Taking hold of opportunities and being aware and challenged in their perspectives, will assist our students to develop to their full, God inspired potential.

It was pleasing to see and hear of many instances where our Christian College Junior School students were welcoming and encouraging of their new (and in some cases extremely nervous) peers. It is a wonderful privilege to witness firsthand the friendship, acceptance, empathy and emotional intelligence our young people show on days such as these.

You should feel proud of your young person, as I know the Junior School staff are, of the wonderful young boys and girls they have blossomed into. We are excited to be welcoming this beautiful group of children into the Middle School in 2017 and look forward to sharing the journey with you in the coming years.

Kindest regards,

Mr. Tony Costa
