Remembrance Day

Today is Remembrance Day, the 11th of November. This day marks the 98th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War (1914–18). Each year on this day Australians and we as a Middle School Highton, observe one minute’s silence in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.

This morning students shared in discussions around the significance of this day and at 11am, led by a bugler, Year 9 student George Ellis, observed a minutes silence in honour of those who served our great nation.
