Year 12 Graduation

Year 12 Graduation Service

Last Sunday was our annual Year 12 Graduation Service at Costa Hall. It was a grand occasion and the students were very excited and nervous about the occasion. Each Year 12 student walked across the stage and shook hands with their Head of House, then the Head of Senior School presented them with their Graduation Certificate, after which our College Principal, Mr Glen McKeeman, congratulated them. These three actions together symbolised that they have graduated from Christian College.

It was wonderful to have so many family and friends in the audience and each student felt the pride to become a graduate.

I wish to congratulate all students on their efforts over many years. The graduation is about their journey through our College. Some students have been enrolled from Kindergarten and many others joined us along the way. One very significant symbol of the afternoon was that teachers from each of the other campuses were there to be part of the Graduation. They were all acknowledged by me for their vital part they played in the education of these students.

Year 12 Graduation Dinner

The Year 12 Graduation Dinner was held at The Pier on Sunday evening and over four hundred and eighty students and their families, along with teachers, were present. This dinner has few speeches and was an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the company.

I thank the staff for sitting with the students and their families as it allowed our staff to meet new parents and guardians and to renew existing friendships.

Mr Graeme Dent, Head of Senior School
