Message from the Head of Campus

Dear Parents

As our year officially draws to a close, can I take this opportunity to thank and congratulate our students, parents and staff for a rich year of learning together at Middle School - Highton. There have been so many highlights and many of these were captured in our end of year Presentation Evening on Wednesday. Nights such as these, provide a wonderful celebration of our students and reflected strongly the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

It was encouraging through our Christmas services today to hear our Year 8 students talk so confidently and eloquently about our College values, how they embody the story of Christmas and emphasised the centre of the Christmas story, being Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

As a College, we have been considering the 'Learning that Matters', our students also have been challenged to consider what it is that 'matters' to them. As we approach this Christmas season, we all have an opportunity to stop and reflect on what it is that really 'matters' about Christmas. John 10:10 says, 'I came that they may have life and have it abundantly'. May you pause to reflect on Jesus, the greatest gift God could provide at Christmas – his name is Immanuel, God with us, the Prince of Peace.

Thank you for your support and encouragement of our staff and programs throughout 2016 and we look forward excitedly to welcoming our students back on Tuesday 31st January 2017. On behalf of the Middle School - Highton staff, I wish you all a fabulous time of relaxation with family and friends over the holiday break. Take care and God bless.

Kindest regards,

Mr Tony Costa
Head of Campus
