Victorian State Waterskiing Titles

Flynn Sheldon of Year 9 competed in the Victorian State Waterskiing Titles in the Latrobe Valley, over the weekend of February 25 and 26.

He took part in three events including Slalom, Trick and Jump, and was awarded silver medals in all three disciplines in his age group. In addition to his bag of medals, Flynn achieved a Personal Best length in the Jump event, soaring over 27.8 metres.

Flynn and his brothers have grown up with the sport, encouraged by their father’s love of the water. He thrives on the extreme challenge of water skiing and finds its speed, movement and potential danger thrilling. Flynn’s major goal ahead of the 2018 Victorian State Titles is to jump a distance of over 35m.

He is currently in training again, preparing for success at the upcoming Australian Waterskiing Championships, in Perth next month. Flynn is to be congratulated for his success at this very high level, and we look forward to tracking his progress over the coming months and years.
