Integrated Studies - My Australian Heritage
Bass versus Flinders
Who is the greatest explorer? Take a step aboard the 'Tom Thumb' or the 'H.M.S Investigator' and you may well find out. The Year 3 and 4 students are confident of their choice for ‘Champion Explorer.’
Both George Bass and Matthew Flinders have made many discoveries that are significant in our history. Not to mention that some of the maps of Australia, drawn by Matthew Flinders, are still used to this day. The students have been given the opportunity to do some exploring themselves and are now looking to plan their best arguments to provide evidence as to why their explorer takes the crown.
We are really looking forward to their presentations!
