Athletics Carnival - Year 3 to Year 9

The Year 3-9 Athletics Carnival always provides a healthy sense of friendly competition between Houses, and 2017 was no exception!

All students were actively involved in the day, competing against each other in both Track and Field events as well as Novelty events such as: 'The Tug of War' and Hurdles. After winning the Swimming Sports earlier in the term, Burrows House were hot favourites to win the Athletics - and they did not disappoint.

Burrows took out the 2017 event, closely followed by Penman, Flynn and Taylor. The 'Fastest On Campus' races were a huge highlight for the day. These 100-metre events were extremely competitive, and it was great to see such a wide variety of ages represented in the race. Meg Doble from Year 9 took out the 'Fastest Girl On Campus' in a close race. For the boys, Year 9 student Thomas Renouf survived strong competition to emerge as the winner.

Individual champions will be announced on the first day of Term 2, in the whole school assembly.
