Dear Parents of Years 5, 7 and 9,

This year as part of the Federal Government National Benchmark Assessments in Literacy and Numeracy, students at Christian College along with other students across Australia will participate in State-based standardised assessments to monitor trends in these learning areas.

In Australia, all students in Years 5, 7 and 9 complete a National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) test conducted by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. These tests and assessments are used to monitor trends in these learning areas.

The testing dates are Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th of May. In the weeks preceding these tests, students will undertake practise tests in order to familiarise themselves with the testing format and time allocations.

Christian College uses these NAPLAN Tests as one of a wide-range of student tests and assessment tasks to measure the progress and skill development of your child. These results will be made available Term 3.
