A message from the Head of Senior Campus

Peter Pan

This weekend is most exciting, with three presentations of Peter Pan at GPAC. Mandy Calderwood has been working incredibly hard to ensure that each performance is fine-tuned to the highest level. The Director of Music, Fiona Gardner, has been responsible for the music and has brought together the musicians in her usual excellent manner. The learning experiences these students will have will be most powerful. These events are the memories our students take with them when they leave our College.

There are a few tickets still available at GPAC, and we urge those who have not thought of going, to do so.

Premiers Awards

It was a pleasure for Outdoor Education teacher Dave Evans, and myself, to attend the Premiers Awards in Melbourne yesterday. These awards recognise students who have achieved at the highest level in a particular subject. Rosie Murphy achieved a perfect score of 50 in Outdoor and Environmental Studies and was then awarded a Premiers Award. Not every perfect score receives a Premiers Award, and we estimate Rosie was in the top four students in the state for this subject in 2016.

Rosie was our College Dux last year, and was most appreciative of the support she received from her teachers. She is studying at La Trobe University this year.

We congratulate Rosie on her achievement and wish her well for the future.
