Junior School Anzac Day Service
On Monday, our school communities at each campus across the College took special time to pause and reflect on the great sacrifice made by Australians, past and present, who serve to protect our country and enable us to live in freedom.
Due to potential bad weather, our Anzac Day service at Junior School had to be held in the Assembly Hall, but it was still touching to see the ‘coming together’ of people from of all ages to honour and pay our respects for those who have served.
It is always a great pleasure for us to welcome our friends from Sirovilla to this service. Our Year 4 students led the service and were beautifully supported by the Junior School Choir, Mrs Karamatic and Mrs Carr. They treated us to a superb rendition of ‘Travelling Soldier’ and Harrison Leigh (from Year 7), who played the 'Last Post' and 'Reveille'.
Thank you to Rowan Thurman and all those who helped in creating this beautiful opportunity to come together in commemoration.
