Year 4 Camp to Ballarat
The Year 4 students had an amazing time away at camp last week, from Wednesday, 26th April to Friday, 28th April.
We headed off in the morning, the bus packed high with luggage, to chilly Ballarat where they hopped off at their first stop, Lake Wendouree. Although, it was drizzling with rain, it would not stop the Year 4’s excitement and anticipation for the next few days. They continued on to the beautiful sheep farm, Narmbool, where they stayed and participated in a variety of activities such as; indigenous painting, star gazing and astronomy lessons, camp fires and tours of the property, including a shearing shed and a beautiful homestead. It was both enriching and engaging.
They were also able to visit our very own school farm, Back Creek. At the farm, Year 9 students, as a part of their stay, led our Year 4’s in a variety of farm activities, from picking fresh produce to visiting farm animals and cooking.
Thank you to all of our incredible students, Year 9 Prefect helpers and teachers on a brilliant Year 4 camp.
