GISSA Netball Championships
The College congratulates the Senior A Girls Netball team, captained by Madeline Vines on winning the 'Geelong Independent Schools Championships'. The girls recorded a convincing 19-12 victory against St Ignatius College in the final.
In a tight Intermediate Final, Christian College lost by 1 goal, 12-13, to St Ignatius College.
All girls are to be commended on the manner in which they participated, and they now look forward to competing at the 'Victorian Schools Championships' during Term 3.
Each team at this event nominates a best player for the day. Congratulations to:

Geelong A&P Society Interschool Dressage
In challenging conditions at the Geelong Showgrounds, members of the Christian College Equestrian team competed at the 'Geelong A&P Society Dressage' event. This event is part of the Barwon Series Interschool.
We acknowledge the performances of all riders and congratulate the following competitors:
Sophie Taylor - Reserve Champion Intermediate Novice.
Eliza Bell - 3rd Overall Intermediate Novice.
Emily Fischer - 4th Overall Intermediate Novice.
Shanae Jenkinson - Reserve Champion Senior Preliminary.
Each rider contributes toward a team score. All riders are to be congratulated on the team placing second, just one point behind Geelong Grammar School.
GISSA Football Champions
After a four-year drought, the College Senior Football team has reclaimed the GISSA football title with victories over Kardinia International College and St Ignatius College.
The team move to the Quarter-Finals of the 'Herald Shield Country Cup' and play Trinity College Colac, with a date still to be confirmed.
We acknowledge all players within the team and congratulate the following players who played well very well throughout the two matches: Brydon Barnett, Chris Lever, Sam De Francesco, Christian Davis, Josh Crapper and AJ Wight.

After a disappointing 12-point loss to Kardinia International College, the Intermediate Boys team rebounded with a nail-biting two-point victory against St Ignatius College. The team now waits on the result between St Ignatius and Kardinia to see if they progress further.
Best players for the Intermediate Boys team over their two games were Rowan Gough, Ryson McHenry, Jack Leonard, Luke Potiriadis and Jeremy Wright.

Motocross
The College congratulates all riders who participated at the 6th annual 'Interschool Dirt Bike Grass Track Competition' at Panmure in South West Victoria. A group of 10 Christian College riders attended, and we congratulate the following riders who placed in the top 3 in their sections:
