The Whitehouse Institute of Design Excursion - Year 9 Textiles

The Year 9 Textiles class went to Melbourne to participate in an all-day workshop at 'The Whitehouse Institute of Design'.

The students had the opportunity to create a mood board, colour palette with industry insight into what and how colours provoke certain emotions - and how they are used in successful advertising campaigns, 'key words', an 'Instagram flat lay' or a fashion or interior design page with creative direction. The hands-on workshop provided the students with great insight into this career pathway, as well as folio presentation tips and a Tertiary experience that will no doubt broaden their knowledge and skills in the design field.
