Year 1 - Yolinko Wetlands Excursion
Last week, a number of our junior years students had the opportunity to go with the Year 11 Outdoor Education students on an excursion to Yolinko Wetlands.
The Year 11 students were planned and prepared to provide their young buddies with fun, hands-on learning opportunities which linked to the sustainability and well being of the wetlands. The activities were inclusive of all students and catered to different learning styles.
Some students played tag, which led to a discussion about the effect of waste on the wetlands, and another group made a food web with yarn. On the bus trip back to Junior School, it was evident that relationships had been built between the students involved and a great day was had by all.
