The athletes at Christian College maintained their dominance of the GISSA Cross Country Championships, winning for a 12th consecutive year. This event involves participation by boys and girls from Year 7 to 12 and requires a large number of students to apply maximum effort over a 3km or 4km course. To the credit of all Christian College athletes, the effort and determination demonstrated was outstanding, and a significant factor in the victory.
Congratulations to the following students who placed Top 3 in their age group:
13 Years Girls - Bethany Dean 1st, Bianca Pocklington 2nd
13 Year Boys - Ethan Grills 1st
14 Year Girls - Kasey Perkins 3rd
15 Year Boys – Archie Hildebrandt 2nd
16 Year Girls - Alyssa Jones 3rd;
16 Year Boys – Samuel Ward 3rd
Open Girls - Tess Kirsopp Cole
Open Boys – Chris Lever 2nd
We wish to acknowledge the tremendous turnout by the Year 12 students. With a heavy work load in their final year, the Year 12 students were excellent ambassadors for the College, supporting the younger runners as they competed.
