Senior School House Musical Talent!

The 2017 Senior School House Music was a Celebration of our wonderful Community!

The Music student leaders steered their Houses through hours of planning and rehearsals to climax in a day that was astoundingly entertaining and enjoyable!

John Farnham's 'You're the Voice' performed by the Flynn House Choir took the Choir Prize. Flynn presented a choir of 125 students with great voice, effective choreography and superb student leadership from Casey Reid and Cameron Chandler!

Tiger Yang wowed the crowd with his work on the Steinway by presenting a breath taking performance of the 3rd movement of Beethoven's  Pathetique sonata to win the Solo Performance award. We had a tie for the small ensemble prize with Penman and Burrows both presenting small ensembles that were beautiful, Penman performing 'Down' by Samantha Gongoi and Burrows 'Can't Help Falling in Love' arranged by Year 12 student Riley Doran.

The competition finished on a high with Burrows' large ensemble achieving the highest ensemble score for the day with their very uplifting rendition of Cat Empires 'Fishies'. Our guest adjudicators for the day, Ryan Bentley and Martin DeMarte were blown away by the standard of every House presentation!

Flynn were the overall winners for the day with Burrows a very close second, but the victories were in every item and in all of the Senior School community contributing to a musical extravaganza!!
