Nursery Rhyme Day - Prep Classes

Prep students from Bellarine enjoyed a fun day celebrating the Nursery Rhymes they have been learning this year.

The day started with a parade, visiting the classes of Junior and Middle Schools to display their wonderful costumes. Students completed a range of craft activities, including a frightful-looking spider for ‘Little Miss Muffet’ and a sneaky mouse from “Hickory Dickory Dock”. The Prep students' enthusiasm for their Nursery Rhyme creations was matched by the diligent help they received from their Year 4 buddies.

The language and verbal storytelling skills learnt through rhyme were evident throughout the singing of Nursery Rhymes, and the creation of puppet shows with their Nursery Rhyme characters. A great day was had by all, with several Prep students asking: “When is it Nursery Rhyme Day again?”
