World Vision Youth Conference

Last Friday, I had the pleasure of taking four SRC students - Ted Paige Walker, Harvey Beckley, Cooper Geal and Zach Wray - to the World Vision Youth Conference.

This conference was aimed at High School students and, with the help of some outstanding keynote speakers, World Vision helped equip our students with an understanding of inequality. This empowered them with the knowledge of the best way to respond as a leader in their own lives, and to stand up to poverty and injustice.

The students experienced first-hand how they could make global change and become the leaders of the future.

The role of the four students now is to harness their passion and share what they have learnt with the staff, as well as teaching the other members of SRC how to lead the next '40 Hour Famine'.

The way these four students conducted themselves throughout the day made me very proud to be their Chaplain and I am excited to see them put what they have learnt into action.
