'Sayembara Lisan' Indonesian Language Speech Competition

On Thursday, 18th May, the Year 9 Indonesian students attended the annual 'Sayembara Lisan' Indonesian language speech competition held at St. Ignatius in Drysdale.

There were approximately 260 students who participated in the competition from various schools around the region. Four of our Middle School students placed very high in their categories and two of these students, Naomi Chang and Neve Foster, were able to go on to represent Christian College at a state final in Melbourne on Saturday, 3rd June.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Naomi placed first in Victoria in the Year 9 continuing section. This is a fantastic achievement and her participation at this level highlights the dedication and determination shown by both girls. We recognise these students for their thorough preparation and are delighted to share their success. The Indonesian department are incredibly proud of their amazing achievements!
