Futures Week at Senior School

Each morning from the 24th to 28th July, our Year 11 and 12 students will be attending sessions of their choice to investigate future options for life after school.

We have four different presenters each morning from a variety of institutions, including major universities such as Deakin University, Victoria University, Federation University, Latrobe University and RMIT. We will also have TAFE providers and other educational and vocational providers, as well as past students who are ready to inspire. Also, we will have a Leadership Seminar presented by guest speaker Matt Cox running at lunchtime on the 25th July at 1pm.

Matt works in the technology field and manages the community marketing team at the Australian tech start-up company ‘Envato’. Envato works across a range of marketplaces allowing creatives to sell their digital products online. It has currently paid out over $400 million to its global community.

Their motto:“We believe good ideas deserve a chance to grow. We believe people deserve to earn a living doing what they love. We believe in making it easy to get things done,” highlights that this session will most definitely be engaging and enriching. This event is open to all students and staff at the Senior School Campus. We are really excited for the upcoming Futures Week, and look forward to all of the presentations from our guests to the Senior School Campus.

Our Year 10 students will also begin to investigate subject choices and plans for their final years at school with a designated program running all week, led by the Year 10 Coordinators Kim Doherty and Paul Breguet.

The future is BRIGHT for students at Christian College Geelong.
